Function Comparisons between Kingsoft Office and Microsoft Office
1. Interface Difference
Microsoft Office 2007 uses the Ribbon interface. Ribbon categorizes the function group buttons into the toolbar, increasing the height of the toolbar, allowing more tool buttons to be placed. Meanwhile, the toolbar interface can automatically switch to the function you want to use according to the editing status of the current document.
The Ribbon interface is convenient for users to operate and it is visualized. On the other hand, the interface style is quite different from that in Microsoft Office 2003. For these users who are not familiar with Ribbon interface, it may be difficult for them to master the features in a short time.
The interface style of Kingsoft Office 2010 is still compatible with that of Microsoft Office 2003, which retains the operation mode that users are used to.
2. Document Format
Microsoft Office 2007 supports Office Open XML (docx, xlcx, pptx) file formats, which is quite different the formats in Microsoft Office 2003. The Office Open XML format supports more styles and formats. However, the problem of format incompatibility occurs.

4. Reading Layout

5. Live Preview of Styles
Microsoft Office 2007 provides the Live Preview feature of styles and formatting. That is, the content of the document temporarily applies formatting on the focused text or object when any formatting button is moused over. This allows users to view a preview of how the option would affect the appearance of the object, without actually applying it. The final layout effect is displayed by using the Live Preview feature. Hardware equipment requirement are high if using this feature.
Currently, Kingsoft Office 2010 does not provide the Live Preview feature. Users need to select the specified style and apply it to view the final layout effects.
